Concrete Display Tables, Mac Outpost 2

The highly respected Nino Pulsinelli Design approached us to collaborate on a creative project for the retail store Mac Outpost 2 in London, Ontario. The challenge was to create 5 beautiful concrete display tables in a variety of sizes on which we could display the Apple products for customers to browse through. The smoothly polished table tops were crucial, to ensure none of the products would incur scratch or damage.

A Unique Appearance with Concrete Display Tables

We are all familiar with the sleek and modern hallmark design of Apple products, which represent the newest trends in technology. To complement the modern aesthetic of these products, Nino Pulsinelli created table legs that represent a contemporary take on Italian neoclassical design. This clever use of concrete reinvented a classical element of design into a contemporary table display that is the perfect match for these world-class products. On a practical level, the polished concrete table top creates a smooth surface to ensure that none of the Apple products will be scratched and adds to the customer’s experience when testing the product.

A Clever, Minimalistic Design

Working with Nino Pulsinelli Design, we created a table that maximizes functionality that is suitable in this unique retail environment. The elegant table legs feature hidden access to accommodate electrical wiring coming up through the floor. On a practical level, this helps to avoid any hazard for customers and ensures safety for all clientele. In the same respect, all router units, plugs and cables run through the sleek cutouts in the table top and tuck into a hidden tray under the table top.

These 5 tables all incorporate unique design elements, a smoothly polished table top and naturally coloured texture that allow for the best user experience. They were each made to custom sizes in order to accommodate the needs of customers, teaching workshops, and those browsing new products in the store.

Creating these custom-made concrete display tables alongside Nino Pulsinelli Design for Mac Outpost 2 in London, Ontario has been creatively inspiring and we feel the display tables are a compliment to the beautiful products that Apple is known to create.
